Bad Manners

I know I shouldn't think this is cute (and I know I won't once he's done this more than once) but Ben discovered how to spit out a grape - and he thinks he is so funny! I had to go grab my camera to catch his laugh. I hope he never does this at any of your houses! I would be so embarrassed :)

Cuties in the Halloween Jammies

One of my favorite things to get during October is the cute Halloween jammies! The kids really enjoy that they glow-in-the-dark.
Big smile!
I was trying to get the kids to pose for me - didn't work so well :) - it's so hard to get them both to look at the same time!

The Waiting Game

Elizabeth has a dance/gymnastics class for an hour each week on a day I babysit Cooper, so poor Ben and Cooper have to play and entertain themselves in the waiting room for an hour. Here's how they did this week...
Look mom, I'm climbing mountains! (they tipped all the chairs over half a dozen times! That was fun to pick up!)Next, we wrestle...Cooper wins!!
As a last resort mom pulls out the DVD - Elmo to the rescue!

"Way up High in the Apple Tree" sing along!

I apologize that it's sideways, I'm not sure how to fix this. Enjoy the video, but turn it up really loud because Elizabeth is doing the singing and it's kind of hard to hear.

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

We had a windy day here in TX so we decided to take advantage of it and fly kites at a nearby park. We went with our cousins, Drew and Josh. Here are Elizabeth and Josh with their kite - see it way up in the sky?
Here's Drew flying his kite, letting Ben have a chance to hold it.
What a fun day!

Dinner with Friends

On Sunday we had some friends over for dinner, and these are the cute kids! Cooper, Elizabeth, and she's holding sweet Emily, Ben, and our other friend cutie-pie Jane. Jane brought over her little 4-wheeler which all the kids loved to ride. Elizabeth is a little on the big side for it - but she didn't care. She loved it anyway.
The other kids had fun playing on the slide.
Emily was just taking it all in with her daddy. We had a great dinner with everyone and had a lot of fun visiting. It was a good way to end the weekend.

Hanging with the Boys

Cooper, Ben and I had a chance to hang out this week while Elizabeth was in school. We went to the botanical gardens. The boys loved running around looking at the flowers and bugs. This is the one chance I had the entire morning to get the two of them together! The rest of the time they were on the move.
Ben enjoying the morning.
Cooper looking so cute!
They are holding hands - how cute is that??
For the second part of our morning we were invited to join Elizabeth's class on their zoo walk. The kids are getting instructions before entering the reptile area. It was a lot of fun joining the kids for part of their day, and I think Elizabeth was proud to show us how well she does in school. We all had a really good time.

The Finished Product

Ta Da! We're all done! (I really don't know what my kids are wearing :), I was planning on retaking these pictures with my kids having clothes on, but we never got around to it!!) Elizabeth and Ben did all the decorating. Elizabeth mostly decorated, Ben mostly tasted. But it turned out pretty cute I think!
Still tasting.

Very spooky, right ? :)

Creating Our Haunted House

We saw a kit for a haunted house at the store and the kids really wanted to make it. This was Elizabeths first time using an electric mixer - she felt very big.
Ben's favorite part was eating the icing.
Elizabeth had fun tasting it all too.
Here we are attempting to get the walls and roof to stay up. The icing was way too runny so it kept falling over. We'll have to see what the finished product looks like! At least we all had fun making it (and tasting it!)

Dog Park

We headed to a dog park this weekend with our dog, Jake. We haven't taken him to one in a while so he and the kids loved it.
Elizabeth wanted to throw the toy for Jake most of the time,
and Ben was busy digging in the dirt!
The park was right next door so we ended up going to play and eat lunch.
Elizabeth made it across the wiggling balance beam. Tom and I both had a lot more trouble!
