Friends at the Train

A couple of weekends ago we met our friends at the train ride by the zoo. Our friends used to live in our old neighborhood with us and have since moved about an hour north of us. We don't get to see them too often so it was fun to get to spend some time together.
Elliott is 6 like Elizabeth, she's holding her brother Patton.
We met Elliott when she was about 6 weeks old and Elizabeth was 4 months, the girls have known each other a long time!

Ben had a fun time with all the girls, too.

Elliott's little sister Berkley was there also. They all had a great time together!

Ready to go!We had a great time!

I made another thing I found on pinterest! :) All I did was take dixie cups and for Ben put the numbers to 20, and all the letters lower case and upper case. I made some math problems for Elizabeth to practice. The fun part was to stack it up,

and knock them down!

We did it over and over and over. Hopefully we'll know our math facts and letters really well! :)

Thanksgiving at Ben's Preschool

Ben's preschool had a Thanksgiving Feast last week that the parents were invited to attend. The kids made all the decorations for the table. Ben's class were Native Americans.
(Don't know what that face is about! :)

Ben's cute class!

Ben's teacher asked me to take pictures of each of the kids for their scrapbooks.

Besides my cute boy I think this one was my favorite! :)

(she was sad her mom left after the luncheon - too funny that she would not let us take her picture!)

Halloween

We had our Halloween Party the week before Halloween. Ben was dressed as Peter Pan and Elizabeth was Wendy. I made both of their costumes - they were a lot easier than I thought they would be.

I had to add this one because Ben looked so cute!

Tom was Smee, also from Peter Pan. We made his shirt with spray paint!

A little of the decor...

and more...

and more. After taking pictures before everyone got here I totally stopped taking pictures. Someone picked up my camera at the end of the night and I got just a few of the guests.

Pirate Zach!

Our Peter Pan group! I was Tiger Lily, my parents were Mr. and Mrs. Darling, Jessica was Tinkerbell, Ryan was Captain Hook, Jackson was the crocodile and Cooper was also Peter Pan.

My neighbors, Laura and Melanie.

My neighbor Bobby and Tom.

Elizabeth had a character walk at her school. The kids were allowed to dress as a story book character as long as they could show a book to go with their costume.

We carved pumpkins the weekend before Halloween. After seeing everyones fancy pumpkins this year I wished we had printed off some fun patterns! But, we didn't! :) The kids each designed a pumpkin for Tom to carve.

Spooky!

Since Halloween was a Monday we had a very early Halloween dinner. Orange cheetos, orange jello, and grilled cheese. Yum!

All ready to go trick-or-treating!

The kids are chatting with some of the neighbor kids, waiting for 2 more to show up so we can go get some candy!

Our crowd before we head out trick-or-treating. The 2 girls in pink are from France. This was their first time to experience trick-or-treating!

It was just starting to get dark, so off we went!

We made it for a little over an hour. Once kids started handing us our bags in between houses we knew it was time to go home. We had a great Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch 2011

Wow! I am so behind on my posts!!

We went to the pumpkin patch with Jessica and her kiddos. The kids all had a great time playing on all the rides and picking out their pumpkins. The pictures kind of speak for themselves!

Fun mini hay maze.

Some hay in the eye I guess!Too bad it was cold outside - the pink sweater just doesn't match the Halloween outfit! Oh well! :)

Bounce house fun!

They even got to ride on a mini ferris wheel!

We even got to ride a pony.

Beautiful pumpkin! Too bad this one cost $20! We put it back and got a more reasonable one.

That's a better size!

Off to pay.

What a great afternoon!
