Disney - Day 1

Before we left for Disney, Ben celebrated his birthday at school with his class.  His birthday would actually be while we were out of town, so we brought up his treats a little early.  Ben requested a cookie cake and juice boxes.
They always sing a birthday song and the birthday child holds this cake and has to march around.

 Yummy!

The next day we woke up and headed to Disney!!  The boys waited  so patiently to board the plane.
As we were hanging out on the plane Ben brought his tray table down and it knocked his very loose tooth out!  We weren't sure if the tooth fairy would be able to find us so far away in Disney - but she did!
Elizabeth was getting a little slap happy on the plane - so anxious to get there!
Poor boy with three missing teeth - it makes it very hard to eat anything!
I snapped these pictures from the shuttle on the way into the park!

We arrived by evening I think.
(the details are a little fuzzy since I waited over a month to write this!)
Here we are waiting to get on our first ride.

Teacups - one of our favorites!

Then we went on the new dumbo ride.  It's pretty much the same as the other one, but now there are two and while you wait in line they have a huge playscape for the kids to play on.  The give the parents beepers so when it's your turn you just get back in the line.  Such a great way to have you wait in line!
The fireworks went on while we were riding on Dumbo, it was so fun to watch them from the ride!

There's Ben and Tom way over there in the other Dumbo.
Of course we had to run over to the Buzz Lightyear ride - the boy's favorite ride.

Last, we watched the light parade.  It's the first time I had seen it, it was so pretty!

Off to the hotel for bed!

Basketball

Elizabeth is playing basketball again this season.

This year is different than her previous season.  It is much more competitive.  We switched to this league because it was all girls - but I didn't realize that it meant that it was more serious.  She is doing so well with it, though.  She is learning how to play defense, how to rebound, and they even have foul shots!  Crazy!
Elizabeth had a big crowd cheering her on for her first game.  Grandpa B was also there.
The season has been going very well!

New Years 2012

For New Years this year we had a very low key evening with a couple of neighbors and family.  We spent the evening playing cards and eating a ton!
The kids were in our mish mash room watching a movie into the evening - I was hoping this would help them fall asleep but no such luck!
Family photo ( nice one of Paul in the background)
and that is very typical of Ben!

As it got closer to midnight the kids got all the blowers and made tons of racket.

Someone brought some yummy kid champagne for the kids - they loved feeling grown up!

 Cheers!

Last we went to the garage to do the poppers - what a fun mess!
The kids all made it until after midnight - they were extremely tired!!
We're ready for 2013!!
