Guests

Our family friend, Sean, and his wife and kids came and stayed with us in early October.  We have know Sean, his sister Katie, and their family since we were 4 years old.  This was the first time we have seen both of their children so we were so excited we could make it happen.  Sean and Amy were going to a football game in Dallas so we volunteered to babysit.

Elizabeth, Jackson, and their daughter Ellen were busy playing with our pumpkin village that my mom gave us.  I think some of the pieces might be either my grandmothers or my Great Aunt Dode's. I need to get the details from my mom and write them on the bottom so I don't forget!
I love Jackson's expression as he's trying to figure out what Ellen is doing.

Elizabeth was busy making sure the little ones didn't hurt anything. :)

Ellen and Patrick
We wanted to do a little photo shoot with the cuties.

The boys (Ben, Cooper, and Jackson) were busy playing so we got some pictures of Elizabeth and Claire, too.

Ellen was loving dressing up in Elizabeth's dress up clothes.
I love this girl's cheesy smile!
Later that night after our friends were in bed the kids watched a little show. I was cracking up watching them all being "comfortable".

Wisconsin Trip Part 2

This is the only picture I got of our company - my dad's side of the family came for a visit.  Here the kids are hanging with my Uncle Mike.

Like always the kids did some fireworks in the front yard.

We tried a new way for doing fireworks - we saw it on Pinterest.  It worked pretty well for the younger kids - I don't think Elizabeth, Cooper, or Ben really needed it but it made them more comfortable.

The cabin
I love how far back Elizabeth is :)

These best buds were having a great time together.

Grandma made yummy pancakes one morning.
We had to take pictures in the beautiful woods.
Claire was not really into pictures unless she was eating.

Man it's hard to get all 5 kids smiling at the same time!  Look at Jackson's face here!
Crazy kiddos
Our friend Nikki came with her kids to hang out for the day.  Our kids had a blast together.

My parents have this fun floating dock that the kids would swim back and forth to.  They loved the lake and we loved it that our feet didn't have to dangle in the water with all the fish :)
Our annual picture by the fish.

We had a wonderful time at the lake like we do every year.
Thanks for having us mom and dad!

Start of our Wisconsin Trip

When all the family was in town and at our house for dinner we went out front and did some poppers and the snappers   (you know the little crackers you throw on the ground and they pop and bang)
Those big kids get really into it!

This is the only picture I got of Blakely - what a stinkin cutie!
Soon after we traveled to Wisconsin to visit the cabin.  I had to include this group of pictures - us trying to get a picture of the 5 crazy kiddos!

Ha ha - Claire is trying desperately to get away :)
Now it's time to head to the boat.

The kids were patiently waiting for Grandpa to get to the boat.
 The fireflies were everywhere!
The kids were busy checking out the beaver dam.  We didn't see any beavers, though.
After the boat ride we took a walk along grandma and grandpa's road in front of their cabin.
They love to gather flowers for grandma's kitchen.
The raspberries were growing wild along the path - we had a great time eating them on our walk.

At the end of the afternoon we took some tube rides.

The boys kept going to the front of the tube and it kept sinking!

Elizabeth is getting brave on the tube!

Our last ride on the tube was Claire and Jessica.  She loved it at first when we were moving slowly - as soon as we picked up the speed a bit she hated it!  We had to quickly stop and get her back on the boat - she was happy then. :)
It was a great first day at the cabin!
