Craftiness

So I have done a little crafting lately that I wanted to share.

Yarn wreath...
(Mine is for Elizabeth, the one right on the left of the pumpkin dress. The rest of the dresses were made by my friends - they are all so cute but I really love the modern one on the left!)
Peasant dresses...

I used my leftover fabric to make a dress for Amelia. I'll have to get a picture of the 2 girls together!

Last I pinned this book pumpkin on pinterest and I finally made it. I'm trying make my pins!!

It looks a little better in person! :)

Man I love to craft!

Last Weekend

Last Saturday we had a crazy busy day.

(Elizabeth's camera won't turn the pictures??)

These pictures are in reverse. We babysat Cooper and Jackson overnight. The kids had a great time playing and watching a movie.

We got out some of my Halloween stuff - the boys were playing with the spider rings. I later took the kids to Chipolte and Cooper wore his hat inside. We got lots of laughs! I felt like trying to explain that the boys call them "flying hats" - like from Mario Brothers on the Wii. I decided it wasn't worth it. :)

The day started with Elizabeth going to cheer camp. She went to the local high school for a few hours for a cheer camp where she learned some cheers . While she was there we watched Drew and Josh for a few hours. They came with us to pick her up. I think she liked showing off her cheers!

Elizabeth and her friend Bailee.

Elizabeth with some of her friends from school. I think they had a good time. Elizabeth is started to get pretty brave - being dropped off by herself for a few hours with all these big kids is a pretty big step!

Terrible picture! There she is in the middle.

We had a great day!

Craziness!!

So, I had to post this just as a warning of what can happen with a glass pan!
We baked some brownies, took them out of the oven on put them on the stove top to cool.

We heard a loud pop and saw that the entire glass pan had peeled, cracked, and popped off the sides of the brownie.

Luckily most of the pieces styaed near the counter, they didn't fly all over the room. I hadn't ever heard of this happening before but I use my glass pans for everything! I think I might be switching to metal!

Elizabeth's Photo Dump!

Since I am using Elizabeth's camera for a couple of weeks I had to download her pictures to give myself some room for pictures. They were pretty interesting! I wanted a record of some of the pictures she got.

Here's cutie Campbell!

Zach and Ben

Amelia running all around!

What a good picture!

Another cute one!

This must be Ben taking the pictures now.

Goofy kiddos! I was taking a picture for Elizabeth on her DS.

This must be Drew taking the photo.

I took this of her brand new earrings.

What a goof! I found TONS of pictures like this!

Jake enjoying his new bone.

The baby fish.

I thought this was so cute! I guess Tom needs Elizabeth to be the photographer to give the big smiles!

I think she did a pretty good job - it's interesting seeing things from Elizabeth's perspective!

**These pictures were all taken in just a few days! When she gets out her camera she goes crazy!

Labor Day Weekend

Over Labor Day weekend we spent a couple of the night with our neighbors. We all have kids around the same age and they love playing together. I had to run home and get my camera to get a picture of all the kids. They squeezed into all these old costumes and put on a play for us. It was so cute!

We also went to my mom's house for some swimming. My mom invited Tom's whole family as well so we had a big group. I made this chocolate, peanut butter cake that I found on Pinterest. (I'm so computer illiterate that I have no idea how to put the link from pinterest. The link is from the blog the pin came from). I decided if I was going to keep pinning I had to make some of the things I pinned!! This was super good, we all loved it.

Zach hugging baby Campbell.

The kids spent a lot of time running around playing. All was good until Josh took a big run right into something sharp (we're still not sure what it was). He got a pretty good gash on top of his head that bleed a lot. Luckily it wasn't very deep so it stopped bleeding really quickly and everyone got back to playing.
The adults spent a lot of time doing this - eating and talking.

The kids moved to the pool after dinner.

Ryan was the lone adult swimming - he had Jackson duty. It was a gorgeous day out, not very hot, which was a huge change for us.I think Ryan got the raw end of the deal!

Elizabeth spent a lot of time trying to jump into this twisty thing.

Ben loves the diving board too. He can jump off and swim to the side without any assistance.

She made it! Right into the middle!

We had a great time - it was nice having both families together!

My camera is on the fritz and in the shop - I won't get it back for 2 weeks! Bummer!! But luckily Elizabeth has her camera so if anything interesting happens I'll at least have some way of documenting it!

Ben's First Day of PreK

For our fun day before prek started I took Ben to the jump house place near our house with our neighbor, Nick, who is Ben's age.
They had a fantastic day running and jumping around together!

The weekend before the first day of school we let the kids pick somewhere to go out to eat. Ben chose CiCi's pizza - his favorite! :)

Elizabeth loves it too!

The main reason Ben loves it so much is because of the games they have. I was showing Ben how fun Ms. Pacman is!

They got squishy balls, whoo hoo!

First day of Prek. Ben was so excited to go to school. He was ready!!

My goodness, he's a cutie! :)

My two school aged kids!

Ben picked out a new backpack,

and lunch box.

Here we are in front of Ben's school.

He insisted on getting a picture in front of these flowers, too.

The best picture I got in his classroom.
I can't believe my baby is in school 2 days a week!

He had a great day and was pretty ready to go back!
