We went to...

It was so much fun! We went with Jessica and her kids, and my mom.
We went once before, 2 years ago, and we weren't so well prepared. This year we remembered to bring gloves, hats, etc... We needed it!
We were so excited that this year it was Charlie Brown!

You can't tell but Jackson is tipping over here. He was hysterical! He could barely move in all his winter clothes.

What a cutie!

The favorite thing for the kids was going down the ice slide. The boys could hardly walk up the steps (they ended crawling up most of the time!! :)
I think that is Ben! It's hard to tell under all those clothes.

It was pretty amazing - but very cold. We were ready to get out of there and warm up!

Leaves!

This weekend we had our Thanksgiving at my mom and dad's house. My dad left the leaves in the backyard so we could make a big leaf pile for the kids to jump in to. It is one of my favorite fall memories - jumping in the leaves.

This was my other thing I loved to do in the leaves - make leaf houses! My mom told us that she used to spend her recess every day in the fall making these leaf houses with her friends. The kids loves having their own room in the "house".
While we were playing the guys were enjoying sitting by the fire.

It was a gorgeous day out - perfect for playing outside.

After hanging out all day we had a fabulous dinner, it was a great early Thanksgiving!

Blue Angels

Our cousins, Drew and Josh, have always liked to come watch the Blue Angels practice. They invited us to go with them this year. The Blue Angels are members of the Marine and Navy Corp. Their goal is to recruit members - and I could see that it could happen! It was so fun to watch!!

This was Ben and Elizabeth their first time spotting the planes!

So cool!
We had a great time watching the planes...we wished we could have seen more!

Our kiddos - Josh, Drew, Ben and Elizabeth.
It was a great time!

Our Tigers and a Fun Visitor

For craft at zoo school the boys got their faces painted. They loved it, and really thought they were "real" tigers.

We also had a great visit with my friend, Allison, and her daughter,Emily. The dog looks a little scary here :) - I think he was just yawning or something. Unfortunately Elizabeth is at school so she missed the pictures.

We had a great visit with a fun dinner in the evening with our book club. No pictures, though.
We were so happy to see you guys!

Halloween Party

I'm finally getting around to posting about our Halloween party. We had a great time - there was a lot of people and food, but unfortunately I didn't have my camera out very much. I gave it to my mom for a little while but didn't tell her what to take, so we didn't get a ton of pictures, but better than nothing!
Here are our kids in their Halloween costumes,

and me and Tom.

At the beginning the kids were playing out back, and the new thing is to climb on the play house. Elizabeth's friend Elliott was able to come - we hadn't seen them in a while!
Little Isabella,
and Baylee - both were so pretty!
Victoria and her kiddos.
My dad was a magician and the girls really believed him, they kept asking him to do tricks ( I don't think he really knows any!)
Laura and Chrissy
(I had my camera out at the very beginning so everyone who came later, I pretty much don't have any pictures of :)
Some of the kids having a snack.
The Rangers were playing so the guys spent a lot of the night watching the game.

Ben and Josh were both Buzz Lightyear (and so was Cooper but he came later and I missed a picture of the 3 of them.)
Tom's brother Mark and his fiance were Luigi and Yoshi - the kids really like that!

Our friend, Katie, and her son Gavin.
The kids came out to the garage to play a game where they popped the balloons with a pin (the balloons were supposed to look like a jack-o-lantern) Each balloon had a piece of candy inside so the kids had a great time with this (except my kids were a little too nervous - they had to have someone else pop their balloon)

Ashlynn had a great technique - plugging her ear as she pops the balloon! :)

All the ladies that were in the garage - I wished we had gotten a picture of everyone!
Lots of the kids.
At the end of the night Ben and Nick (our friend from down the street) were asleep in the playroom. Elizabeth powered through and was awake until the end of the party.
We had such a good time - we're so happy so many of our family and friends could come.
I thought I would show this gross thing that got a lot of comments at the party. Those little heads are apples! You peel the apples and stick them in a bowl of cold water with a little lemon juice and salt. Then you carve faces and put them somewhere dry. I ended up sticking them in the oven (when it was off). If you want the apples to shrivel faster you can stick them in the oven on low for an hour or so every day and they will shrivel a lot faster. I think the kids had a good time seeing the apples turn into these creepy things!
