Monday Playgroup and Tuesday at the Zoo
We had playgroup at our house this week. We had fun playing out front of our house for a while -the weather was so nice so we played bubbles, rode bikes, and colored with chalk.
This is Baylee, a new big sister in our group. She just had a baby sister about 2 weeks ago.
This is Robin and her boys - one of the moms in our group.
On Tuesday it was zoo walk day. The parents are invited to join the kids on their walk through the zoo. I never get good pictures of the kids at the zoo - I'm not sure why. I guess cause they are so busy looking at the animals and I can never get the kids and the animals together in a picture...so I got pictures of the animals instead. I wanted a picture of the baby lions. 2 of them are wrestling together. We saw them when they were first born and were so small! Now they are getting pretty big.
I don't know if you can see it but there is a meerkat running on a rock in the back of the habitat. That is the animal of the week for Elizabeth this week.

Elizabeth's Dress
The pictures are a different story. I wanted to take a picture of E in her dress and this is what I got.
Turn around Elizabeth!
Hello - where are you Elizabeth?

Finally she turned around. The dress was a lot harder than I thought it would be for me. I had to add another layer underneath it because it was a little short and see through. And, I realized, I'm just not that great at measuring and making sure everything is even (like on all the hems). Oh well, I got it done, and I think it turned out alright! I have one more type of fabric like this so I hope I am able to do it again!

Questions for a 3 Year Old
My friend Chrissy had this list of questions that she asked her daughter - and I thought it would be fun to ask Elizabeth the same questions. The questions are for Elizabeth to answer about me. I was very curious to see what she would say. Here is goes!
What is something Mommy always says to you?
Hi. That was it at first. I asked - anything else? Then she replied - I love you.
What makes mom happy?
If I give her a kiss and hug and I love her.
What makes mom sad?
When Ben throws his food on the floor.
How does your mom make you laugh?
Tickles me.
How old is your mom?
29
How tall is your mom?
Big (thanks sweetie :)
What is her favorite thing to do?
Play with me and Ben
What does your mom do when you are not around?
I don't know - I don't see you. I asked if she had to guess - she said watch t.v.
What is your mom really good at?
Lifting weights (What ?? :) Cause you're so strong (awww)
What is your mom not really good at?
I can't really think of anything (my kind of girl)
What does your mom do for a job?
Scrapbook
What is your mom's favorite food?
Chicken pockets (her favorite)
What makes your mom proud?
If I give her a hug and I love her
What do you and your mom do together?
Play games
How are you and your mom the same?
We both have yellow hair.
How are you different?
You are bigger and I am small.
How do you know your mom loves you?
Cause she gives me lots of hugs.
What does your mom like most about your dad?
He gives her kisses on your cheeks and hugs.
What is your mom's favorite place to go?
Little Gym
Hope you had a good Monday!

Cooper's Birthday and Fun at the Park
We tried really hard to get a picture of all the kids together. It finally almost worked (one is missing in the group). It seems like spring is here in Texas. We'll see if it is here to stay yet!

Walking Pneumonia and Edible Playdough
it's 1 part peanut butter
1 part powdered milk (this part grossed me out so next time I think I'll use powdered sugar, even though it won't be nearly as healthy)
1 part honey
That's it! You mix it all together and give the kids spoons, plastic knives, cookie cutters, etc...
________________________________________________
On another note, Elizabeth has walking pneumonia! So say some prayers for us that it really is just walking pneumonia that responds well to the antibiotics. After Elizabeth was hospitalized 2 years ago with pneumonia, we're a little paranoid about this little illness! So I probably won't have a lot of stuff to write about this week, we're just going to be hanging low, trying to recover.
Have a good week!
