A Mini Pumpkin Patch Visit

On Friday we met up with our cousins at a local garden shop that has such a cute pumpkin patch! It was little, but perfect for our kids, and there was hardly anyone there. The bad part about school is Elizabeth and Drew couldn't be there with us. We have the rest of the crew, Jackson, Cooper, Ben, Amelia, Zach and Josh.
Our attempt at getting everyone looking at the same time,

I was never successful! :)
They had a couple of bounce houses the kids loved. Ben and Cooper went crazy in this one.

The kids also loved the slide - of course.
Victoria even got to take a ride or two with Amelia (lucky Victoria :)

They did it over, and over, and over again.

We love the fall!

Playdate with a New Friend

Elizabeth has made a new friend in school that we have had come over to play a couple of times. Her sister is in the middle, a first grader, and Elizabeth's friend is on the end.

They have a lot of fun together! I'm happy that Elizabeth is making some new friends in kindergarten!!

Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

We love fall around our house - it means we get to visit the pumpkin patch! We went to our first one over the weekend. We got there pretty early so we were able to snag a wagon. Elizabeth made herself in charge of pulling it all around.
Notice anything different about this boy? Oh yeah - daddy took him to get a hair cut over the weekend. Mommy's still getting used to it.

There were lots of fun places to get our picture taken.

We let each kid pick out their own pumpkin. Elizabeth picked out this monster.

Ben went for a tall and skinnier one.

I was trying to get a cute picture of Ben on top of the hay stacks. It was more fun to jump off of it I guess!

If you are wondering where I got the shirts, a friend from my playgroup makes them. You can get one of your own here.
We always have to take a ride on the tractor.

Our family at the pumpkin patch!

We always have to get our pictures here...the kids love it!
They also took rides on the slide,
and posed with our cousins before going into the corn maze.

This was the never ending maze for us! Luckily a nice farmer came in and rescued us!
Here are the kids, striking a pose.
Bens pose is very original I would say!

We had a lot of fun and are so excited for the rest of this month. We have lots of fun things planned!

Last Week

I haven't been great about taking pictures so I am just going to do a quick recap of our week last week. Monday we had playgroup - no pictures. Tuesday Ben and I worked at Elizabeth's school and played at the park with a friend - no pictures. Wednesday - zoo school! I watched Jackson for Jessica so she could go home and get some packing done. After Jackson and I walked through the nearby botanical gardens and the zoo, we picked up Ben and Cooper and took them into the zoo to have lunch. Ben loves zoo school, he wants to go every day! (Which is a huge accomplishment for my boy!)
Thursday I babysat Zach and Amelia so we decided to drive out to Jessica's new house to see the area and the outside of the house. (long story but we weren't able to get into the actual house). They have a really fun park in their neighborhood that we played at.

It was gorgeous weather and the kids were all so good. We finished with a picnic lunch and then headed back home to nap and get Elizabeth from school.
After school Elizabeth had her first swimming class. She wasn't loving dance this year so we decided to try swimming. She is a little fish so I knew she would love it.
This is what Zach and Amelia did while she was swimming,
and this is what Ben did (he's watching a movie).
She doing the freestyle!!
Hi Elizabeth!
On Friday Elizabeth had an early release day and a new friend came to play after school - again no pictures!! (so bad!)
Saturday we had Ben's soccer pictures and game. He did great for pictures, not so great in the game. He wouldn't play - again!!! We're going to see what happens this Saturday! Keep your fingers crossed!
It was a busy, but really fun week!

We Have a Bike Rider!

When I say bike rider, I mean a 2 wheel rider. No training wheels!

She's off! She's even getting pretty good at starting herself off. She is very proud of herself, and now she really likes to ride her bike! She can go a lot faster now that the training wheels are off. It's a new level of independence that we are all excited about!
