Easter Sunday

Ok, I know, he's wearing Christmas jammies - and you will soon see Elizabeth is wearing Halloween jammies - and it's Easter morning. I really need to think these things through before the holiday comes...it sure makes the pictures look funny :).

On to Easter. We had a busy day starting at our house for an Easter egg hunt. Ben found an egg, opened it, ate the candy, and moved on to the next one.

After we were done searching for eggs at our house, we headed to church, and then to my in-laws house. The kids also went on an egg hunt and got a basket.

Our family, we rarely get a picture with all of us together. Had to get one when we were all dressed up!

After Tom's family we headed home for naps, and then over to my parent's house for Easter dinner. They had eggs filled with confetti that the kids had a blast with.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

We had a fun Easter egg dyeing party on Friday night at my SIL Janet's house. We had so much fun (even though Elizabeth doesn't seem like it in this picture!)

More B-Day

So be prepared, there are a TON of pictures here! I just wanted to make sure I got one of each of her party guests. This year, because Elizabeth wanted a princess party, we decided just to invite the girls who were around Elizabeth's age, and of course her cousins Drew and Josh. Ben was allowed to invite a friend, and of course, he chose Cooper. This pic is Elizabeth with her doll that her Great-Grandma B got for her. I am still unsure if my Grandma made it or not (she made us Cabbage Patch dolls when we were little) but I know she has had it a long time and she was saving it for when Jessica or I had a little girl. Elizabeth was having fun dressing and undressing it. She can finally do that by herself.
We had a pinata at the party (I think E thinks it's not a party unless there is a pinata) so Ben was having a great time smashing it. Love his hair? I have another picture of it. Auntie Jessica was nice enough to do his hair along with all the other girls.

This is the group in front of Elizabeth's castle. We made the castle out of a refrigerator box. Elizabeth wanted a castle since Ben got a barn.

Here we are playing "musical chairs". It's not really musical chairs because there were no chairs, but I had pictures from all the Disney movies that I got online along with about 4 pictures of Elizabeth dressed as a princess. The kids walked along the pictures to the Disney music I had playing and when the music stopped, if the kids were on a picture of Elizabeth, they got a prize or an M&M.

Another friend, Ashlynn, after her time in the hair salon. So pretty. I must also say, girls cooperate so much more than boys in taking pictures! Almost all the girls were more than ready to smile big for the camera. No bribing needed.

Elizabeth with Grandpa B. Grandpa was nice enough to bring Elizabeth a bouquet of flowers on her birthday that we used on our mantel. Elizabeth is so lucky to have such great Grandparents on both sides of the family. It was a great party with all her friends.

Our Princess Elizabeth turned 4!

Elizabeth turned 4 yesterday (Saturday) and we had a princess birthday party for her at our house. We had her friends in the morning, and our family in the afternoon. There are so many pictures, so I thought I'd post them slowly so I wouldn't have the longest post in the world! During the party the girls got their nails and hair done, so this is the nail station (aka computer desk).

We played pin the crown on Elizabeth for one of the games. Elizabeth at first didn't want to play this game because she thought it would hurt! When I explained they would be putting the crown on her picture, not her real head, she still wasn't convinced it wouldn't somehow hurt. She let us play it though and enjoyed it.

This is what was at each of the girls spots. A Cinderella shoe with M&Ms, a crown, necklace, bracelet, and candy bracelet. That pink crown at the top of the plate is made of chocolate. I wrote the kids names on a candy plaque for their place cards.

The Start of E's Birthday Week

At zoo school this week we decided to bring cupcakes for all the kids in her class for Elizabeth's birthday. The way her school runs the parents never get to go into the classroom. We drop off and pick up in the front, so I never really get to see how she is around the other kids, what they do in class, etc... So this was a fun opportunity for me to get to see a little of what her day is like. E with all her classmates enjoying the cupcakes.
This is their animal visitor that came to the class while we were there. It was so fun seeing it so close up - it even flew through the classroom.

For playgroup this week we went to a science museum. Here's Elizabeth playing in the grocery store.

There was an outer space exhibit that the kids were really interested in. This is the kitchen in a space shuttle. It was showing all the dehydrated food - we all found it pretty interesting. I don't know why but these are the only pictures I took at the museum. Normally I take a ton!

It was a fun day though!

Palm Sunday

This Palm Sunday we were invited to my parent's house to have brunch and for the kids to get their Easter basket from my parents. We played in the playroom first while we were waiting for the brunch.
Ben -the only way to get his picture and make him look is to do something crazy - like get on a chair. What we do to get a picture!
